The Eiffel Tower is easily one of the most recognizable structures in the world. It is no surprise that during our visit to Paris, we made a point to visit this landmark and to photograph it from as many angles as we could. No matter which angle you are looking from, the Eiffel Tower is a sight to behold. In this post, we will be sharing our favourite view of the Eiffel Tower as well as where you can go to get the perfect snapshot of the Eiffel Tower.
- Trocadero Station
The iconic view of Eiffel Tower from the steps of Trocadero station is one of my favourite views of the tower. Plan to start your day here to get the most breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower at sunrise. If you go at sunrise, you will also avoid the crowds that gather during the middle of the day. It is also a lot easier to get shots like this one below that create the illusion that you are the only one there.
There are also a number of restaurants in the Trocadero area with magnificent views of the tower. I would recommend making a reservation for dinner at on of these restaurants for an opportunity to also see the tower light up at night.
2. The Top of the Arc de Triomphe
From the top of the Arc de Triomphe, you can get a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. The view you will get is literally what postcards are made of. You will have to pay a fee of (€9.50) to climb about 280 stairs to the top for lovely views over Paris. It is well worth the price and the exercise because the view that you will get is literally what postcards are made of.
3. Galleries Lafayette
Head to the rooftop of Galleries Lafayette for another breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower.
4. Champs de Mars
Here you will get a closeup view of the Eiffel Tower. It can be a bit tricky trying to get the whole tower to fit in your picture while navigating the crowds, but certainly worth it to get up close and personal to the tower.
5. Pont d’léna
Another famous view of the Eiffel Tower is from the Pont d’léna bridge a short walk from the tower itself. Pause here for a quick photoshoot of the tower before heading to your next destination.
6. Pont Alexandre III
Of all the bridges in Paris, the Pont Alexandre III bridge is definitely my favourite. Its ornate and elaborate design is simply amazing. This bridge with the Eiffel Tower in the background is stunning especially at sunset. We were not able to capture any pictures on our iPhone that do justice to just how magnificent the view is at sunset.
